Privacy Policy for ReelAthon

Thank you for using ReelAthon. This Privacy Policy explains what information the ReelAthon mobile application ("ReelAthon," "the app," "we," "us," or "our") does and does not collect, how it is used, and your choices. We built ReelAthon to be private by design: your activity stays on your device.
By using ReelAthon, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
The short version

• ReelAthon does not have its own servers and does not collect, transmit, or sell your personal information.

• Everything you do in the app — the ReelAthons you build, the movies you mark as watched, your ratings, and your preferences — is stored only on your device.

• We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking of any kind.

• The only data that ever leaves your device is what is necessary to (a) process your one-time in-app purchase and (b) deliver optional reminder notifications you choose to enable. These are handled by trusted third parties (the app stores and our purchase provider), not by us.

1. Information we do not collect
ReelAthon does not collect, store on any server, or transmit to us:

• Your name, email address, phone number, or account credentials (the app has no account or login system).

• Your location, contacts, photos, camera, or microphone (the app does not request or use these permissions).

• Any analytics, usage tracking, device fingerprinting, or advertising identifiers.

We have no backend server that receives your data. We cannot see what you watch, build, or rate.
2. Information stored on your device
To make the app work, ReelAthon saves the following locally on your device only, using your device's standard app storage:

• The ReelAthons (movie collections) you create or add to your shelf.

• Which movies and series you have marked as watched, and your progress through them.

• Ratings and preferences you enter, which the app uses to tailor recommendations.

• Your customization choices (such as your Reel Buddy avatar and its name) and settings.

• Whether you have unlocked the full version of the app.

This information never leaves your device except when you deliberately export or share it (see Section 5). If you delete the app, this locally stored data is removed with it.
3. In-app purchases
ReelAthon offers a single, optional one-time purchase to unlock the full version. Purchases are processed entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and by our purchase-management provider, RevenueCat, Inc.

• We never see or store your payment card details, billing address, or financial information. That information is handled directly by Apple, Google, and their payment systems.

• To manage your purchase and restore it across your devices, the store and RevenueCat process a purchase receipt and an anonymous, app-generated identifier. This is used solely to confirm whether you have unlocked the full version. It is not linked to your name or used for advertising.

• RevenueCat's handling of this information is governed by its own privacy policy, available at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy.

• Apple's and Google's handling of purchase information is governed by their respective privacy policies.

If you choose "Restore Purchase" in the app, we ask the store to confirm your previous purchase so the full version can be re-enabled. No personal profile is created in this process.
4. Notifications (optional)
If you choose to enable reminders, ReelAthon schedules local notifications (for example, an evening nudge about your current ReelAthon) directly on your device. These are handled by your device's operating system. Notification content is generated on your device and is not sent to us or any third party. You can turn notifications off at any time in the app or in your device settings.
5. Sharing features (initiated by you)
ReelAthon lets you share things at your own initiative, such as sharing a ReelAthon collection code or your Reel Buddy card image. When you use these features:

• The content is passed to your device's own share sheet (for example, to Messages, Mail, or another app you select). You control who receives it.

• We do not receive a copy of what you share or a record of whom you shared it with.

• A shared "collection code" contains only the list of movie titles in that collection — no personal information about you.

6. Children's privacy
ReelAthon is a general-audience app and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and because the app collects no personal information on any server, it does not build profiles of any users. Movie content within the app may carry maturity ratings; parents and guardians are encouraged to supervise use accordingly.
7. Your choices and rights
Because your data is stored only on your device, you are in direct control of it:

• Delete your data: You can clear the app's saved data from within the app or by uninstalling ReelAthon.

• Notifications: Enable or disable them in the app or your device settings.

• Purchases: Manage or request refunds through the App Store or Google Play according to their policies.

Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR in the EU/UK or the CCPA/CPRA in California), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information. Because ReelAthon holds no personal information about you on our systems, there is generally nothing for us to retrieve or delete on your behalf — the data lives with you, on your device. 8. Data security
Your in-app data is protected by the standard security and sandboxing of your device's operating system. Purchase transactions are secured by Apple, Google, and RevenueCat using industry-standard measures. Because we do not operate a server that stores your personal data, there is no central database of user information to be breached.
9. Third-party services
The third parties that may process limited, purchase-related information are:

• Apple App Store / Google Play Store — payment processing and app delivery.

• RevenueCat, Inc. — in-app purchase management and receipt validation.

We do not integrate advertising networks, analytics providers, or social media trackers.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example if we add new features. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide notice within the app. Your continued use of ReelAthon after an update means you accept the revised policy.
